2007 NU Venture Challenge

InNUvation's NU Venture Challenge is Northwestern University's only university-wide entrepreneurship competition. The student-run competition is a platform for entrepreneurial students to experience first-hand the process of cultivating a business idea from scratch. Participants will have access to world-class faculty, veteran entrepreneurs, and early-stage investors. In addition, students can form teams by drawing on the diverse backgrounds, interests, and talents of individuals throughout the university.

  • May 12, 2007 - Rhea Mobility wins 1st place in the 2007 NU Venture Challenge!
    Congratulations to Rhea Mobility Footwear for winning the 2007 NU Venture Challenge!

    InNUvation would like to thank all of the teams who submitted abstracts and competed in the semi-final and final rounds of the NUVC. We would specifically like to thank all of the finalists for their extremely hard work in putting together extremely impressive final presentations. The judges all agreed that the quality of presentations was extremely high and all the ideas were compelling.

  • Apr. 21, 2007 - Finalists announced!
    Congrats to the 6 finalists who were amongst 60 teams in the first university-wide idea competition. Thanks to the phenomenal teams that participated, our panels of judges, and all who volunteered. Without your support, this challenge would not have been a success!

    The NUVC final round will take place on May 12th starting at 9:30AM at:

  • Apr. 17, 2007 - Semifinalists announced
    We had a tremendous turnout for the 2007 NU Venture Challenge and are inspired to see such a show of entrepreneurial spirit throughout Northwestern. We had 60 submitted entries with team members representing every Northwestern school. 30 semi-finalist teams have been chosen to continue in this year’s NU Venture Challenge.

  • Apr. 11, 2007 - Submit your business abstract by Friday!
    The official deadline is Friday, April 13 at 11:59pm. All team members must be finalized by the submission time.
  • Apr. 9, 2007 - Round 1 submission due FRIDAY!
    The round 1 business abstract submission is due by April 13 at 11:59pm. Submission instructions will be available shortly.
